Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants put into the system may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
1. Remove two bolts (2) from bar (4). Identify all oil lines and hoses. Put caps or plugs on the lines, hoses and ports to keep foreign material out of the system.2. Disconnect oil lines (1) and (3). 3. Disconnect hoses (6) and (7) from each side of the swivel group.4. Disconnect oil drain line (8) and pilot oil line (5). 5. Position a floor jack under the swivel group.6. Remove eight bolts (9).7. Lower swivel group (10) and remove it from under the machine. Weight of the swivel group is 68 kg (150 lb.). Install in reverse order.
Perform Scheduled Oil Sampling on oil wetted compartments after performing service work to check for contaminants left in the system following repair. Contaminants put into the system may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Disassemble And Assemble Swivel Group
Start By:a. remove swivel group

1. Remove eight bolts (2) and manifold (1). Remove the O-ring seal from under the manifold. Replace if necessary. 2. Remove three screws (3) and retainer (4). 3. Using a press, remove rotor (5). 4. Remove seven outer seals (6) and the seven inner seals if they are damaged. 5. Remove seal (8) and washer (7). The following steps are for the assembly of the swivel group.6. Install washer (7) and seal (8).7. Install the seven inner seals and seven outer seals (6) if they were removed at disassembly. 8. Install rotor (5) in swivel housing with a press.9. Install retainer (4) and the three screws. 10. Install a new O-ring seal (9) on the manifold. Install manifold (1) and the eight bolts.End By:a. install swivel group
