Sudden movement of the machine or release of oil under pressure can cause serious injury to persons on or near the machine.To prevent possible injury, perform the procedure that follows before testing and adjusting the hydraulic system.
Establish a 30.5 m (100 ft) test area that is a straight line. Make sure that the course provides sufficient distance for the machine in order to reach full speed before the machine passes the starting line. Make sure that there is sufficient distance for the machine in order to be stopped after the finish line is passed.
Start the machine and run the engine at 2370 50 rpm at HIGH IDLE.
Make sure that the vibratory system is OFF.
Set the speed control potentiometer to the highest position (rotate clockwise). Back up the machine far enough in order to reach full speed before the start line.
Time the machine through the 30.5 m (100 ft) timing trap. The acceptable travel time is 9.5 .5 seconds.
Repeat the test in REVERSE. The travel time in FORWARD and the travel time in REVERSE must be within 1 second of each other.
Park the machine in an appropriate place. Apply the parking brake. Stop the engine.
