Movement of the machine could result in death or personal injury. Shut the 3208T (Engine B) diesel engine down. Tag the machine controls. Lock the main battery switch at OFF before starting work.
Reduce the hydraulic pressure to zero by lowering the lower conveyor lift control lever for the cylinder back and forth until the cylinder will no longer move.
Assemblies supported by a cylinder could drop when the lower conveyor lift cylinder is removed and could cause personal injury or death. Always block up assemblies.
Start By:a. open air box cover 1. Remove four bolts (1).2. Remove cover (2). 3. Remove cotter pin (5).4. Remove pin (4).5. Support cylinder (3). 6. Disconnect hose (6). Cap or plug immediately. 7. Disconnect hose (7) (not shown). Cap or plug immediately.8. Remove bolt (8).9. Remove cylinder (3). The following steps are for the installation of the lower conveyor lift cylinder.10. Remove the fittings from the old lift cylinder.11. Install the old fitting on the new lift cylinder.12. Drain any oil from the old cylinder into a suitable container.13. Fill the lift cylinder through both ports with ATF Type F Hydraulic Oil. Cap or plug until assembly.14. Position lift cylinder (3) to the upper mount.15. Install pin (4).16. Install cotter pin (5).17. Install bolt (8) on the lower clevis.18. Connect two hoses (6) & (7).19. Position cover (2).20. Install four bolts (1).21. Switch the main disconnect to ON.22. Start the 3208T (Engine B) diesel engine.23.
