Personal injury or death may result from failure to adhere to the following procedures.Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire.Clean up all leaked or spilled fuel. Do not smoke while working on the fuel system.Turn the disconnect switch OFF or disconnect the battery when changing fuel filters.
Turn the fuel supply to the off position.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the off position.

Open access door (1).

Disconnect sensor group (4).
Loosen the clamp and disconnect hose (2).
Disconnect hose assembly (3).

Use Tooling (A) to remove fuel filter (5). Remove fuel filter (5).

Remove bolts (6) and filter base (7).

Remove vacuum indicator (8).
Remove plug (9) and O-ring seal (10) from filter base (7).

Remove stud (11) from filter base (7).

Remove plug (13) and O-ring seal (12) from filter base (7).

Remove adapter (17), nut (16), washer (15), and O-ring seal (14) from filter base (7).

Remove adapter (18) and O-ring seals (19) from filter base (7).

Remove plug (20) and O-ring seal (21) from filter base (7).Installation Procedure
Install fuel filter (5) and filter base (7) in the reverse order of removal.

Apply Tooling (B) to the threads of stud (11) to Dimension (X). Dimension (X) is 10.0 1.5 N.m (89.0 13.3 lb in).
Tighten stud (11) to a torque of 68 7 N.m (50 5 lb ft).
