Information:

Personal injury or death can result from sudden machine movement.Sudden movement of the machine can cause injury to persons on or near the machine. To prevent injury or death, make sure that the area around the machine is clear of personnel and obstructions before operating the machine.
Coolant System
Pressurized system: Hot coolant can cause serious burn. To open cap, stop engine, wait until radiator is cool. Then loosen cap slowly to relieve the pressure.
To relieve the pressure from the coolant system, turn off the machine. Allow the cooling system pressure cap to cool. Remove the cooling system pressure cap slowly to relieve pressure.Hydraulic System
Pressurized System!Hydraulic accumulators contain gas and oil under high pressure. DO NOT disconnect lines or disassemble any component of a pressurized accumulator. All gas pre-charge must be removed from the accumulator as instructed by the service manual before servicing or disposing of the accumulator or any accumulator component.Failure to follow the instructions and warnings could result in personal injury or death.Only use dry nitrogen gas to recharge accumulators. See your Cat dealer for special equipment and detailed information for accumulator service and charging.
Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system on this machine after the engine and pump have been stopped. Serious injury can result if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system. In order to prevent possible injury, release the hydraulic system pressure before working on any fitting, hose, or hydraulic component.Lower all work tools to the ground before service is started. If the hydraulic system must be serviced, tested, or adjusted with the work tool in the raised position, the work tool and lift cylinders must be supported properly.Always move the machine to a location away from the travel of other machines. Be sure that other personnel are not near the machine when the engine is running and tests or adjustments are being made.
Engage the parking brake.
Lower the implements to the ground and fully retract the counterweight.
Shut off the engine.
Turn the key to the ON position, but do not start the engine.Note: Verify that the implement lockout switch is in the unlock position.
Move the hook and boom control lever through the full range of travel. This action will relieve any pressure that may be present in the hydraulic system.
Move the steering and transmission control lever in both directions several times. This action will relieve any pressure that is still in the steering system.
Move the thumb wheel for the counterweight control to the extend position. The counterweight should move outward to the neutral position.
Slowly loosen the filler cap to release the pressure in the hydraulic tank.
Tighten the filler cap.
The pressure in the hydraulic system has been released. Lines and components can be removed.
