Depress trigger (14) and place propel lever (1) in the FORWARD position.

Start the CAT® ET program. Select "Information" (15). From the pull down menu select "Status" (16) .

Select "Transmission RM500B" ECM (18). Select "Pressures" (19) .
The pressure "Values" (17) should be within 130 kPa (19 psi). If the pressures are equal, go to Step 12. If the pressure is not equal, go to "Adjustment Procedure".
Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.
Move engine start switch (6) to the OFF position.
Remove Tool (C3) from diagnostic connector (13) .
Install coils (11) on propel pump solenoids. Secure the coils with nuts (12).
Close left access panel (10) in the deck of the operator platform.
Lift deck plate (7) .
Loosen lock ring (8). Rotate needle valve (9) fully counterclockwise.
Close deck plate (7) .Adjustment Procedure

Propel pump (20) is the front drive pump. Propel pump (21) is the rear drive pump. Each pump has a pump adjustment mechanism.

Remove the plug from port "M4" (22) from the pump requiring adjustment.
Install one Tool (C) in port "M4" (22). Tighten Tool (C) to a torque of 12 N m (9 lb ft).
Install Tool (D2) on Tool (C) .

Remove the plug from port "M5" (23) from the pump requiring adjustment.
Install one Tool (C) in port "M5" (23). Tighten Tool (C) to a torque of 12 N m (9 lb ft).
Install Tool (D2) on Tool (C) .

Loosen locknut (24) on the pump adjustment mechanism. Turn adjustment screw (25) until the pressure at port "M4" (22) starts to increase over the pressure at port "M5" (23). Note the angular position of the wrench.
Rotate adjustment screw (25) the opposite direction until the pressure at port "M5" (23) is equal to the pressure which was recorded during Step 8. Note the angular position of the wrench.
Rotate adjustment screw (25) to the center of the two positions which were noted in Step 8 and Step 9. Hold the adjustment screw in place, and tighten locknut (24). Go back to "Test Procedure".
Remove the tooling.
Replace plugs in port "M4" and port "M5". Tighten the plugs to a torque of 12 N m (9 lb ft).
Go back to "Test Procedure" and retest.
