The original article has been revised to add the effective serial numbers.Description of Change: The new oil temperature sensor has improved reading capability.Adaptable To: Certain software causes compatibility issues with the engine oil temperature sensor. The oil temperature value may be 15° C (60° F) lower than the actual value. If you identify an issue with your oil temperature reading incorrectly, update to the new 264-4297 Temperature Sensor. The oil temperature jumper harness must also be replaced along with the sensor. Refer to Table 1 for additional parts needed to update the sensor and harness.The new sensor and harness are adaptable back to first production of the serial number listed above. Refer to Table 1 for the effective serial numbers.
