Clean the Breather
Open the engine access cover on the right side of the machine. 1. Loosen the crankcase breather bolt (1) and outlet hose clamp (2).2. Remove hose (3) from breather (4).3. Remove the breather.Check the condition of the breather seal. Replace with new seal if the used one is damaged.4. Wash the breather in a clean, nonflammable solvent.5. Shake, or use pressure air, to dry the element.6. Install the clean breather.7. Install the hose and clamp.8. Close the access cover.Transmission
Change Filter
Open the access cover behind the cab on the left side of the machine. 1. Remove the filter housing drain plug and allow the oil to drain.2. Use a strap-type wrench to remove the filter housing.3. Remove and discard the used element.4. Clean the filter housing with a clean, nonflammable solvent.5. Clean the housing base.6. Inspect the filter housing seal. Replace the seal, if it is damaged.7. Insert a new element into the filter housing.8. Install the filter housing into the housing base. 9. Maintain the oil level to the FULL mark on dipstick (1). Add oil through fill tube (2) if necessary. 10. Start the engine. Apply the service brake. 11. Unlock the transmission neutral lock. 12. Slowly operate the transmission controls to circulate the transmission oil, then return to neutral.13. Lock the transmission neutral lock. Inspect for leaks.14. Close the access cover and stop the engine.Hydraulic System
Change the Filters
The hydraulic tank is on the right side of the machine. 1. Remove the hydraulic tank access cover. 2. Remove the oil filler cap (1) slowly to relieve the tank pressure.3. Loosen the filter housing cover retaining bolts (2).4. Remove the covers (3) and filter elements.5. Discard the filter elements.6. Clean the covers and inspect the condition of the "O" ring seals. Replace if necessary.7. Install new filter elements. Install the covers. Tighten the cover retaining bolts to 58 4 N m (43 3 ft lb). 8. Maintain the hydraulic oil to the FULL mark in the sight gauge. Add oil if necessary through the fill tube.9. Inspect the filler cap gasket. Replace the gasket, if it is damaged. Install the oil filler cap.Fuel System
Service the Fuel System
Do not fill fuel filters with fuel before installing them. Contaminated fuel will cause accelerated wear to fuel system parts.
Wash the Primary Filter Element
1. Remove the engine access cover on the left side of the machine. 2. Loosen the filter case retaining bolt (1).3. Remove the case and element (2) from the filter base.4. Remove the element from the case.5. Wash the element and case in clean, nonflammable solvent.6. Dry the element using pressure air - 205 kPa (30 psi) maximum.7. Clean the filter base.8. Inspect the seal. Replace if damaged.9. Insert the clean element into the case.10. Install the element and case into the filter base.11. Retighten the retaining bolt to
