Keep engine speed low until engine oil pressure has a chance to stabilize. Note any warnings in the VIMS Message Center (8) and take appropriate action.
1. Follow cold engine idle procedure.2. The low brake air pressure warning light will cause the alert indicator (6) to flash and the instruction, "Do Not Move Machine" will appear in the VIMS Message Center (8) until the service air reservoir is charged to approximately 1/2 maximum operating pressure. If parking brake is switched OFF before pressure is 1/2operating pressure the action alarm (18) will sound.3. Monitor the VIMS Message Center (8) and take appropriate action on any events displayed before operating the machine.To provide maximum sound suppression on machines equipped with sound suppressed cabs, keep all doors and windows closed.4. Check the engine oil, steering and brake tank, transmission, implement oil levels with the engine at low idle and the oil at normal operating temperature. See the Maintenance Section for information on checking the oil levels for proper fill levels.5. Observe all gauges, warnings, service lights, and messages frequently during operation. All gauges should be at normal operating range, the alert indicator (6), action lamp (3), and action alarm (18) should be off.
