Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Diesel Particulate Filter - Remove" for the correct procedure.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove bolts (2) from bracket (1).
Remove bolt (3) and bolt (5).
Remove bracket (4).

Remove bolt (6) and remove bracket (1).
If necessary, remove bolts (8) and bolt (10). Remove bracket (7).
If necessary, remove bracket (9). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Support and Mounting (CEM) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure. Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Ensure that all the brackets are free from wear or damage. If necessary, replace any brackets that are worn or damaged.

If necessary, install bracket (9). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Support and Mounting (CEM) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
If necessary, position bracket (7) onto the cylinder head and the front cover. Install bolts (8) and bolt (10).
Tighten bolts (8) and bolt (10) to a torque of 25 N m (221 lb in).
Position bracket (4) onto the cylinder head. Install bolt (3) and bolt (5).
Position bracket (1) onto bracket (7), bracket (9), bracket (4).
Install bolts (2) and bolts (6).
Tighten bolts (2), bolts (6), and bolt (3) to a torque of 25 N m (221 lb in).
Tighten bolt (5) to a torque of 60 N m (44 lb ft). End By:
Install the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Diesel Particulate Filter - Install" for the correct procedure.
