In-Gear Relay or Ride Control RelayThere are two relays in the system that are activated directly by the ECM.
Ride control relay
In-gear relayThe ride control relay is used in order to activate the ride control system. This only activates the relay when the ride control switch is placed in the ON position or when the ride control switch is placed in the AUTO position. The activation is based on the ground speed of the machine.The in-gear relay is used to alert the operator that the shift lever is placed in gear and the parking brake is still engaged.The in-gear relay activates the alarm in the cab. When the park brake is set and the machine is in gear, the control module activates the relay. This condition is termed driving through the park brake.
