Do not disconnect any hydraulic oil lines from the swivel until all the oil pressure in the circuit has been released.
1. Remove two bolts (3) and remove arm (1) from manifold (2). 2. Remove six bolts (4) which fasten the manifold to the rotor of the swivel. 3. Remove cover assembly (5) from the rear of the undercarriage. 4. Loosen tubes (6) and (7) which are fastened to the tee connector. 5. Put identification on four hoses (10) and (11) and remove from swivel (12). Loosen clamp (not shown) which fastens tubes (8) and (9) to the undercarriage. Remove tubes (8) and (9) from the swivel. 6. Put tooling (A) in position under the swivel. Fasten tooling (A) to the swivel with bolt (13). Remove eight bolts (14) and remove the swivel from the undercarriage. The weight of the swivel is 300 lb. (135 kg).Install Swivel
1. Inspect the condition of all O-ring seals and make replacements if necessary. 2. Put swivel (2) in position on tooling (A). Fasten tooling (A) to the swivel with bolt (3). Install six O-ring seals (1) on the swivel. Put a thin layer of the lubricant to be sealed on the seal surface. 3. Use tooling (A) to lift the swivel into position. Make sure the six bolt holes in the rotor are in alignment with those in the manifold. Install eight bolts (4) which fasten the swivel to the undercarriage. Remove bolt (3) and tooling (A). Install tubes (5) and (6) on the swivel. Install the clamp (not shown) which fastens the tubes to the undercarriage. Install O-ring seals on four hoses (7) and (8). Install the four hoses on the swivel. 4. Tighten tubes (9) and (10) on the tee connector. 5. Install cover assembly (11) on the undercarriage. 6. Install six bolts (13) which fasten the rotor to manifold (12). Install arm (14) on the manifold with two bolts. 7. Make an adjustment to bolts (15) and (17) to get a total clearance of .04 .02 in. (1.0 0.5 mm) between arm (14) and the ends of the bolts. Then tighten locknuts (16).
