8). Use suitable hydraulic jacks and stands in order to support the front of the rear chassis as close to the hitch as possible. Refer to illustration 1.3.1
9). Remove the front drive shaft, Refer to RENR5139 Front Drive Shaft - "Remove and Install"
10). Remove the hitch drive shaft, Refer to RENR5139 Hitch Drive Shaft - "Remove and Install"
11). Remove the front stabilizer rod. Refer to RENR5140 Front Stabilizer Rod - "Remove and Install".

12). Clean the area around the spherical bearing and hitch pin.
13). Inspect the inner race of the spherical bearing. Check to see if the inner race is cracked or split. Refer to illustration 1.4.1.
14) If the pin has a center mark A in illustration 1.4.1. and the bearing is cracked please have the dealer TC submit a DSN service request to report this.
Please make sure that all parts are retained as the product group may request these be returned via a part return request (PRR).
15). Remove the front suspension frame. Refer to RENR5140 Front Suspension Frame - "Remove".

16). Remove bolt (1), Washer (2), Special washer (3) and Lock Ring (4). Refer to illustration 1.5.1

17). Use a suitable hydraulic cylinder and place it on top of the lower hitch pin. Position suitable spacers between the cylinder and the upper hitch pin chassis bore.
Use the hydraulic cylinder to press the lower hitch pin out of the chassis.

18). Ensure the taper bores in the chassis at locations A and C and the bearing surface at location B are free from any grease and/or dirt. These areas MUST be clean and dry when the hitch pin is installed. Refer to illustration 1.6.1
Note: DO NOT use any type of lubrication to aid installation.
Note: Make sure that the surfaces at location A, B and C are clean and dry before installation of the hitch pin.

Installation
19). Make sure that the new 300-3930 Pin is free from grease and/or dirt. The pin must also be dry on installation.
Note: DO NOT use any type of lubrication to aid installation.
20). Install the new 300-3930 Pin through the spherical bearing (5) and into the front chassis. Ref to illustration 1.8.1.
Note: A slight adjustment may be needed to align the bores. This can be achieved by either lifting or lowering the front of the machine using a suitable jack.
21). Install new locking ring (4), Special Washer (3), Washer (2) and Bolt (1).
22). Use a copper hammer in order to strike the end of the lower hitch pin. Tighten Bolt (1) to a torque of 460 +/- 50 Nm (340 +/- 37 lb ft). Continue to strike the hitch pin and continue to apply torque to Bolt (1) until no loss of torque is evident.

23). Measure the distance from the lowest part of the chassis to the end of the pin - Dimension "B" (98mm / 3.86ins). Refer illustration 1.9.1.
