Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.

(1) Use Tooling (B) in order to install bearing (1) . Install bearing 10 0.30 mm (0.4 0.012 inch) below the surface of the cylinder. (2) Torque for locknut 1000 100 N m (738 74 lb ft)Note: Lubricate the face and threads before assembly. (3) Use Tooling (C) in order to install bearing (1) and bearing (3) . Install bearings 10 0.30 mm (0.4 0.012 inch) below the surface of the cylinder. (4) Lubricate the inside diameter and the outside diameter of the rings and the seal with clean grease. (5) Lubricate the sealing lip slightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.Installation Procedure

Fasten two suitable lifting devices to fore boom cylinder (2) .
Position the fore boom cylinder. The weight of the fore boom cylinder is approximately 250 kg (550 lb).
Install pin (12) . The weight of the pin (12) is approximately 32 kg (70 lb). Install shims if needed 8.0 mm (0.32 inch) of clearance is required.
Install bolt (14) . Tighten to a torque of 325 40 N m (240 30 lb ft).

Use Tooling (A) in order to lower door (11) downward.
Secure door lift cylinders (13) .
Remove Tooling (A) and lower door (11) .

Fasten two suitable lifting devices to the rod end of the fore boom cylinder (2) .
Position fore boom cylinder (2) .
Install shims (9) .
Starting the machine may be necessary in order to position fore boom cylinder (2) into fore boom (10) .
Install pin assembly (8) .
Install bolt (7) into pin assembly (8) .
Remove the two suitable lifting devices from the rod end of fore boom cylinder (2) .
Connect grease hose assembly (6) onto the rod end of the fore boom cylinder (2) .
