1. Releasing internal pressure from hydraulic system 1) Place the machine on a level ground and stop the engine.2) Release internal pressure from the front hydraulic lines by operating the control levers.3) Release internal pressure from the hydraulic tank, referring to OPERATION MANUAL.2. Disconnect pipe (17) from the retraction side port of cylinder tube (18) and install a blanking plug and flange to close up the opening of the pipe.3. Installation of special adaptor 1) Install a special adaptor to cylinder tube (18) with bolts (19), spring washers (20) and plain washers (21).2) Tighten the bolts to the specified tightening torque using a torque wrench and socket.3) Connect a female pipette to the special adaptor using a vinyl hose. 4. Start the engine and increase the hydraulic oil temperature until it reaches the specified setting [50 5 °C (122 41 °F)]. * Incorrect setting of oil temperature could not make proper measurements.5. Fully move the accelerator lever backward and check to be sure that the engine maximum speed with no-load is within the specification.6. Measuring 1) Pour hydraulic oil into the pipette.2) Fully extend the bucket cylinder with the pumps in relief condition.3) After 30 seconds, measure the oil leakage for three minutes from the rod port of the bucket cylinder. * Standard value: 1cc/3 minutes* If the measurement exceeds the specification, reservice the bucket cylinder.III-6 Arm Cylinder
1. Removal
(1) Clean arm cylinder (1) and related hydraulic lines using a steam cleaner. * This cleaning is important to prevent entry of foreign matter into the arm cylinder interior or hydraulic lines.* Release internal pressure from the hydraulic system, referring to the section, "ARM".(2) Separation from arm 1. Fasten fiber slings to arm cylinder (1) and lift the arm cylinder using a crane until slight tension applies to the lifting slings. * Use two fiber slings which are in good condition and in correct capacity.* Fastening of the fiber slings must be firm.2. Remove the nuts and bolt locking the support pin using a spanner and offset wrench.3. Remove the support pin from the pin holes of the arm-to-arm cylinder linking section using a copper hammer. (3) Disconnect flexible hoses (9) from connector (10) using a quick wrench. (4) Disconnect flexible hoses (11) and (12) from the arm cylinder. Install blanking plugs to close up the ports of the cylinder and the openings of the hoses. * Incomplete plugging could cause danger when the hydraulic system is unexpectedly operated. So be sure to tighten the plugs firmly.Separation Of Arm Cylinder
(1) Lift the arm cylinder using a crane until it is positioned horizontally.(2) Remove the bolt and nuts locking the support pin using a spanner and offset wrench.(3) Remove the support pin from the pin holes of the boom-to-arm cylinder linking section using a copper hammer and pipe and remove the arm cylinder from the boom using a crane.2.
