3600 DieselCat Reman has approved the use of two types of cases in fuel injectors for distillate diesel fuel:
The traditional type of case in fuel injectors for distillate diesel fuel
The type of case that enables the injector tip cooling that is used for heavy fuel oilThis decision was made for these reasons:
Improve utilization of the core.
Support the increasing demand for fuel injectors that are used for distillate diesel fuel.
Provide a greater supply of less expensive remanufactured fuel injectors.Because heavy fuel oil is heated prior to injection, the fuel injectors that are used for heavy fuel oil have a case with passages for a cooling circuit. The fluid enters the case through two holes. The fluid flows through passages in the case in order to circulate around the tip of the injector. The fluid exits the case through two other holes.

Some of these remanufactured injectors have the same case as the injector that is used for heavy fuel oil. However, the holes in the case of the 10R-1252 Fuel Injector Group are blocked internally.Fuel injectors for distillate diesel fuel do not require cooling for the tip of the injector. The case for the distillate type of injector does not have holes or passages for coolant. Some remanufactured 10R-1252 Fuel Injector Groups do not have holes in the cases.The operation of the 10R-1252 Fuel Injector Group is not affected by the type of case.
