Problem
The 9Y8400 Voltage Regulator (VR3 Type) on certain 3208, 3304, 3306, 3406, 3408, 3412, 3508, 3512, and 3516 Generator Set Engines equipped with a SR4 Generator may have internal interference between a capacitor and a reactor. This interference may cause the voltage regulator to fail. The 9Y8400 Voltage Regulators that may have this interference have identification numbers between 118100 and 119687 on their identification plate.
