Back up site configuration file.
Download the latest software from dealer.
Create your dongle.
Plug your dongle in the DSS port and reimage.
Complete the install wizard and re-install the configuration file.Note: Follow the procedures correctly to avoid connection problems.Features
The improved DSS onboard software v4.3 has the following additional features:
Supports machine state awareness using network manager kit (A5N2). - Improvement in tracking availability leading to improved safety. - Reduction in false positives resulting in improved operator usability and thereby greater operator acceptance.
Supports downloading current run logs to a PC from the Web Application (DSS Run Log, Data Uploader, Global Positioning System (GPS) Manager, Network Manager, and so on). - Easier access to files for better troubleshoot system. - Files are in compressed format making easier to e-mail.
Added Active Disk Management to remove files from disk if disk space threshold is met. - Removes potential for low disk space fault which prevents system downtime.
Up-to-date network usage statistics can be viewed in the web app (3G, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet). - Helps customer IT representative to understand network load. - Helps monitor data plan usage.
Enhanced system time verification process to include multiple sources. - System will continue to have accurate time stamps without network connectivity.Improvements
The Driver Safety System (DSS) onboard software v4.3 has the following improvements:
Improved external GPS logic for greater connection potential and recovery process. - Supports third-party GPS connectivity (Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS) not supported). - Allows TCP connection to devices (such as MS352 GPS). - Allows the system to print GPS information from source GPS for debug purposes.
Integrated test button and LED into the camera. - Prevents the need of an external test button. - Configurable auto self-test which checks the desired components at every system restart. - LED conveys hardware failure.
Changes in camera software update logic. - Prevents the software from being overwritten. - Corrects accelerometer message frequency to avoid false "invalid" readings.
Improved camera recovery logic. - Creates less application restarts in the background. - Leads to higher tracking performance. - Ensures that the system recovers from Driving Facing Camera issues.
Improved process of Blackbox Data Retrieval. - Allows a user connected to the box’s web app the ability to download a select number of blackbox data files to the local PC.
