Symptom Correction
Upper Seat
Lateral looseness See Systems Operation, "Comfort Air Suspension With System Air".
The angle of the seat cushion cannot be adjusted.
The seat does not stay in position. Inspect the seat and replace the parts, as needed. See the appropriate topic in the Disassembly and Assembly section of this manual.
Lumbar support cannot be adjusted.
Lumbar support does not stay in position. Inspect the seat and replace the parts, as needed. See the appropriate topic in the Disassembly and Assembly section of this manual.
Air Suspension
Looseness in the suspension Replace the rollers (if equipped). See the appropriate topic in the Disassembly and Assembly section of this manual.
Seat height cannot be adjusted. Check the connections to the solenoid and/or to the air lines. See the appropriate topic in the Disassembly and Assembly section .
Insufficient damping Inspect the shock absorber and the cable. Replace the shock absorber or the cable, if necessary. See the appropriate topic in the Disassembly and Assembly section of this manual for the proper procedure.
Seat height cannot be maintained. Check the air bag and the related components for leaks. (1)
(1) Check for leaks if the air bag deflates during one shift. The air bag is designed to keep air filled for at least one shift. Note: The 192-7848 Shock Absorber Kit is available for operators over 136 kg (300 lb) or for use in extreme operating environments. The 192-7848 Shock Absorber Kit is a dual shock absorber kit that adds additional dampening.
