Personal injury can result from air pressure.Personal injury can result without following proper procedure. When using pressurized air, wear a protective face shield and protective clothing.Maximum air pressure at the nozzle must be less than 205 kPa (30 psi) for cleaning purposes.
The cab fresh air filter assembly extends from the rear of the compartment outside of the right-hand cab window.Your machine may be equipped with a standard type of fresh air filter, or your machine may be equipped with a powered precleaner type of fresh air filter. The service procedure for each fresh air filter type is described below.Standard Filter (If Equipped)

(1) Cab fresh air filter cover

Cab fresh air filter cover (1) is located at the rear of the filter assembly. Release three clamps (2) and remove the filter cover.
Remove filter element (3).
The filter element can be cleaned by using pressurized air. Use a maximum air pressure of 205 kPa (30 psi). Direct the air from the clean side to the dirty side.
Inspect the element for damage. Inspect the gaskets for damage. Replace damaged filters.
Install filter element (3) and install filter cover (1). Fasten three clamps (2). Note: Clean the filter element more often in dusty conditions.Powered Precleaner Filter (If Equipped)
The air filter cover and the air filter element are combined into a single air filter assembly for this type of cab fresh air filter.

Release four clamps (5).
Remove precleaner filter assembly (4).
The precleaner filter assembly can be cleaned by using pressurized air. Use a maximum air pressure of 205 kPa (30 psi). Direct the air from the clean side to the dirty side.
Inspect the precleaner filter assembly for damage. Inspect the gaskets for damage. Replace the precleaner filter assembly if damaged.
Install the precleaner filter assembly and secure in place by fastening four clamps. Note: Clean the precleaner filter assembly more often in dusty conditions.
