This Program can be administered either before or after failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS40168" as the Part number and "7755" as the Group Number. If adminstered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If adminstered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

The quick-shift feature needs to be removed on 994A Retrofit and 994D Wheel Loaders.The quick-shift feature must be removed because the benefit does not outweigh the possible decreased transmission life.
This problem only concerns 994 retrofits and 994D Wheel Loaders. It does not concern 994A Wheel Loaders equipped with VIMS.

On 994D, replace the 1440902 Quick-Shift switch with 3E0109 Plug.On 994 Retrofit, replace the 1236376 Quick-Shift switch with 3E0109 Plug. Note:
On the 994D and 994 retrofit, the VIMS source and configuration software must be upgraded.See the table below for the correct VIMS software part numbers. Refer to SENR6059-06 VIMS Service Manual, "Uploading Source and Configuration Software" for the proper VIMS software installation procedure.
