The new gear assemblies include a new bearing that is made from a stronger material. The inside diameter of the new gear assemblies is machined after the bearing is pressed into position. This results in increased control of the clearance between the new gear assemblies and the idler shafts (B).

The new 180-3865 Gear Assembly is a direct replacement for the former 7E-8174 Gear Assembly in the 1W-0790 Front Gear Group. The former gear assemblies are cancelled.Note: In the Reference, the information about the installation of the idler shafts in the front gear group is still applicable.
