Modification Procedure
1. Remove the parts listed in Chart A which connect the air compressor to air inlet system. Refer to Illustration 1 and Chart A for item identification.
Illustration 1. Former parts connecting the air compressor to air inlet system. 2. Install a 5M-6213 Pipe Plug (13) into the opening of tube (12) by following Steps 2a through 2d.a. Clean plug (13) and tube (12) with either 6V-1541 or 4C-9500 Quick Cure Primer and allow to dry.b. Coat the threads and head area of the plug with 4C-9506 High Strength Retaining Compound.c. Install plug (13) into tube (12). Turn the plug into the tube until tight.d. Make sure retaining compound has completely sealed the tube, making an air tight seal.
