The manufacturing process for installing the 9R-9957 Gussets and the 9R-9957 Gussets have been improved on the extendable sticks. The welds under the gussets from Point (A) to Point (B) have been performed. This prevents the water from entering the gussets. The gussets should not crack and the gussets should not bulge. The new manufacturing process became effective in production with the following machines: BFP13535, FDP19748, BLN10741, BNK6119 and BML4946If the gussets that are on the machine are cracked, remove the gussets and replace the gussets. Make sure that the welds that are under the gussets from Point (A) to Point (B) were performed. If the welds were not performed, weld from Point (A) to Point (B). Then, chamfer the gussets in order to properly fit. Weld the gussets into position.The gussets that are on the machine may not contain cracks or bulges. If you think that the local weather may cause the gussets to crack or if you think that the local weather may cause the gussets to bulge, you can drill a 10 mm (0.4 inch) hole into each gusset (1). The hole will provide a way for the water to drain from the gussets. The hole must be located at least 25.4 mm (1.00 inch) from existing welds.
