1. Clean the outside diameter of all collets and pins.2. Clean the bores for the collets and pins.3. Put 1P808 Lubricant on the pin bores before assembly.4. Collets and pins must be centered axially.Torque Procedure:
1. Be sure the pins and collets are clean and free of all oil and grease.2. Tighten the bolt to 1800 200 N m (1320 150 lb ft). After the nut and bolt are tightened, hit the collets on both sides until the torque on the nut and bolt is less than 950 N m (700 lb ft)3. Tighten the nut and bolt again until the torque is 1800 200 N m (1320 150 lb ft). Hit each collet again until the torque on the nut and bolt is less than 1600 N m (1180 lb ft)4. Tighten the nut and bolt to a final torque of 1800 200 N m (1320 150 lb ft).5. An optional method of installation can be used.6. Install the pins and collets as before. Press the collets on the pins with 507 000 N (114 000 lb) of force. Tighten the nut and bolt to a torque of 1800 200 N m (1320 150 lb ft).
