Prevent the machine from movement. Park the machine on a level surface.Attach a "Do Not Operate" warning tag or a similar warning tag to the start switch or to the controls before you service the equipment. Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Put identification marks on all hoses, on all hose assemblies, on all harness assemblies, and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies. This plugging helps to prevent fluid loss, and helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.Note: Drain the hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic tank before opening the hydraulic system. Remember to fill the hydraulic tank with hydraulic fluid once the installation is complete.

Typical Example
Remove five cap screws from the Relief Valve Group (B) on the end of the main control valve. These cap screws will be replaced.
Remove the Relief Valve Group (B) from the main valve.Note: The weight of Relief Valve Group (B) is approximately 8.75 kg (19.3 lb).
Remove the seals from the Relief Valve Group (B) .
Install new seals (1) and (4) into the Relief Valve Group (B). Refer to Illustration 2

Typical Example
Use a suitable lifting device to align the three valves. Align the Relief Valve Group (B) with control valve group (3). Insert the new, longer, cap screws (2) into the holes in order to maintain alignment.Note: The weight of control valve group (3) is approximately 20.5 kg (45 lb).
Align the control valve group (3) and valve group (B) with the main control valve (C) .
Thread the five cap screws (2) into the main valve block (C) and hand tighten the cap screws.
Remove the hoist from the valve assembly. Tighten the five cap screws (2) to 240 40 N m (177
