When reporting the repair, use "PS41709"as the Part number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered beforefailure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" asthe SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as theWarranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. The metal pipe in existing lines group-cooling,183-9195, which is used on 3500B petroleum genset packages is differentthan the metals used in jacket coolers. The use of dissimilar metals maycause jacket cooler failure when seawater is used as the coolant media.New line group-cooling, 216-8576 uses copper nickel piping to agree withthe jacket cooler metals.AFFECTED PRODUCT

Isolate package cooling system. Removeexisting line group. Flush pipes and fittings of new line group to assurethey are free of dirt and debris. Install new line group. Test for leaks.Re-energize package cooling system. When performing welding on package,welding system ground conductor must be as near as possible to the weldinglocation. Always connect the welding ground conductor on the same packageside where the welding will occur to avoid current flow across engine andgenerator bearings. Welding across engine and generator bearings may causesignificant bearing damage. Never weld across the package center line.SERVICE CLAIM ALLOWANCES
