Illustration 1. New implement hydraulic pump group.To check the engine speed, the 6N1345 Angle Drive Adapter Assembly or the 5P1759 Tachometer Drive Group (straight drive) can be used with the new camshaft when the 5P1758 Adapter (square shaft), part of the 5P1759 Tachometer Drive Group, is used.
Adaptable To: The new parts shown in the chart are adaptable to earlier 943 and 953 Loaders. The new camshaft and crankshaft parts were in effect with the engine serial numbers shown in the chart. The hydraulic pump gear and spacer change on these machines was in effect before the change to the camshaft and crankshaft.
Illustration 2. New camshaft group.When a new camshaft and camshaft gear are installed, a new hydraulic pump gear and spacer must be used. This is necessary to give the correct clearance between the pump pilot and the camshaft gear. It is not necessary to install the new camshaft parts when the new hydraulic pump gear and spacer are installed.
A new camshaft and camshaft gear can be installed without the installation of a new crankshaft gear, but a new or reworked front housing must be used. Also, a new crankshaft gear can be installed without the installation of a new camshaft and camshaft gear, or a new front housing.
