KIT-CAMSHAFT 20R4964 - Caterpillar

1. Disconnect fuel injection line nuts (1) from adapters (4). Remove adapters (4) from valve cover base (2). Remove the O-ring seals from the adapters.2. Remove bolts (3), and remove valve cover base (2) and the gasket from the engine. The following steps are for installation of the valve cover base.3. Inspect the condition of the valve cover base gasket, and replace it if necessary. 4. Put valve cover base (2) in position, and install bolts (3). Tighten bolts (3) in the sequence shown to a torque of 13.5 2.7 N m (120 24 lb.in.).5. Lubricate the seals on adapters (4) with glycerine, and install the adapters in the valve cover base. Connect the fuel injection lines, and tighten nuts (1) to a torque of 40 7 N m (30 5 lb.ft.).End By:a. install fuel injection linesb. install valve cover
