KIT-SEAL 2175240 - Caterpillar

Remove four bolts (4), four washers (5), and two half flanges (6). Disconnect hose (2) from the housing and discard the O-ring seal.Note: All removed parts except the O-Ring will be reused later.

Place new cover (7) and new O-Ring seal (8) into position on the housing. Use the two half flanges (6), the four bolts (4), and four washers (5) that were previously removed. Tighten the bolts to 30 7 N m (22 5 lb ft).

Loosen clamp (9) and two nuts (10) on U-Bolt (11).

Remove four bolts (13), then remove pipe (12).

Discard O-Ring seal (14) and install a new 6J-2680 O-Ring Seal.

Place new pipe (15) into position. Secure the pipe by installing four new bolts (16). Tighten the bolts to 50 10 N m (37 7 lb ft).

Tighten clamp (9) to 7.5 1 N m (6 1 lb ft). Tighten two nuts (10) to 22 3 N m (16 2 lb ft).

Install new O-Ring seal (18) onto plug (17) and install the plug onto pipe (15). Tighten the plug to 60 9 N m (44 7 lb ft).

Place a new 4J-0522 O-Ring Seal on the mating surface of hose (2). Position the hose onto the block of pipe (15). Install two new half flanges (21), four new bolts (19), and four new washers (20). Tighten the bolts to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).

Tighten four bolts (1) to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft). Tighten bolt (3) to 100 20 N m (74 15 lb ft).
Refill the hydraulic tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, Hydraulic System Oil - Change for the correct oil and fluid level.
