1. Remove the bolts holding the wire harness clips and move the wiring harness out of the way. 2. Use tool (A), and remove four filter assemblies (4) from the oil filter base.3. Remove the bolts that hold elbow (2) and adapter (3) to the oil filter base. Move the elbow and adapter away from the oil filter base.4. Fasten a hoist and tool (B) to oil filter base (1). Remove the bolts that hold oil filter base (1) to the engine. Remove the oil filter base from the engine. The weight of the oil filter base is 39 kg (86 lb). The following steps are for installation of the oil filter base.5. Fasten a hoist and tool (B) to oil filter base (1). Put the oil filter base in position on the engine, and install the bolts that hold it.6. Put new gaskets and elbows (2) and (3) in position on the end of the oil filter base. Install the bolts that hold them in place.7. Put clean oil on the seals of filter assemblies (4), and install the filter assemblies. Follow the instructions on the filter assemblies.8. Put the wiring harness and clips in place and install the bolts in the clips.9. Fill the engine with oil to the correct level. Start By:a. remove oil filter base 1. Remove elbow (1), support (2) and adapter (3) from the oil filter base assemblies.2. Remove cover (4), gasket (5), spring (6) and plunger (7) from each of the base assemblies.3. Remove the bolts that hold base assemblies (8) together.4. If necessary, remove the stud from each of the base assemblies. The following steps are for assembly of the oil filter base.5. If the studs were removed from base assemblies (8), put 9S3263 Thread Lock on the tapered end of the studs for a distance of 10.2 1.5 mm (.40 .06 in). Install the studs in the base assemblies, and tighten them to a torque of 80 14 N m (60 10 lb ft).6. Put the gaskets in position between base assemblies (8). Install the bolts that hold them together.7. Put gaskets and elbow (1) and adapter (3) in position on the base assemblies, and install the bolts that hold them.8. Install plunger (7) and spring (6) in each of the base assemblies.9. Put gaskets (5) and covers (4) in position, and install the bolts that hold them.10. Put support (2) in position on base assemblies (8), and install the bolts that hold it in place.End By:a. install oil filter base
