Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to radiator (18). The weight of radiator (18) is approximately 25 kg (55 lb). Position radiator (18). Install bolts (19). Remove Tooling (A) .

Position fan shroud (17). Install bolts (15). Install bolts (16).

Install panel assembly (14). Install bolts (13). Install panel assembly (12) .

Position bracket (11). Install bolts (9). Install nuts (10). Tighten nuts (10) to a torque of 22 3 N m (16 2 lb ft).

Connect hose (8) .

Connect hose (6). Tighten clamp (7). Install clamp (5).

Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the proper filling procedure.End By: Install the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Remove and Install".
