Personal injury or death can result when working with the strut rod.Sudden release of the spindle from the strut rod or the snapping of a bolt when removing the plate can result in injury.Loosen all bolts one-half turn, working around the plate in a circular pattern. Perform this again and again until the torque is released for the bolts.
Note: See the Steering System Testing and Adjusting, "Front Axle - Install and Adjust" in order to determine the thickness that should be installed. (6) Final installation torque for the bolts ... 1800 200 N m (1325 150 lb ft)Note: Perform the Steering System Testing and Adjusting, "Front Axle - Install and Adjust" before you install these bolts.Note: Assemble the suspension cylinder to the frame with bolts (3) and bolts (4). As required, use plates (2) to fill the gap between the suspension cylinder and the frame.

Apply 1U-9891 Hydraulic Oil Additive to the gap between the housing and the head. (13) Add 6.25 L (1.65 US gal) of 7X-7664 Grease after assembly.
