G3600There is a new procedure for tightening the 3/8 inch bolts that fasten the prechamber group to the cylinder head. The new procedure will improve the clamping force on the ignition body. The new procedure will reduce the possibility of leaks around the gaskets in the prechamber assembly.This new procedure is recommended for all G3600Engines that use 3/8 inch bolts to fasten the prechamber group to the cylinder head. This procedure is recommended for both one piece and two-piece prechamber assemblies.Note: Do not use this new procedure on a prechamber group that has an ignition body that is made from stainless steel.Tightening Procedure

This illustration identifies some of the components in a typical prechamber group. (1) 3/8 Inch Bolts (2) Plug (3) O-ring Seal (4) Prechamber Assembly (5) O-ring Seals (6) Gasket
Install the O-ring seals (5) and gasket (6) on the prechamber group. Apply a light coat of 5N-5561 Silicone Lubricant to the outside of the O-ring seals (5) .
Place the prechamber group into the bore in the cylinder head.
Use the bolts (1) to push the prechamber group into the bore. Tighten both bolts evenly to a maximum torque of 35 N m (25 lb ft). Then loosen both bolts.
Tighten each bolt (1) to a torque of 5 N m (44 lb in).
Place an index mark on each bolt (1). Rotate each bolt (1) for an additional 180 5 degrees in a clockwise direction.The tightening torque for the plug (2) has been reduced to 15 N m (11 lb ft). In order to get near to the recommended torque, do the procedure that follows:
Tighten the plug (2) until the O-ring seal (3) contacts the prechamber assembly (4).
Then tighten the plug (2) for an additional 180 10 degrees.The reduced tightening torque for the plug (2) will help prevent movement of the ignition body when the plug is removed or installed.
