Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Inspect the O-ring seals, the seals, and the gaskets. Replace the O-ring seals, the seals, and the gaskets that are worn or damaged.Note: Lubricate the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Use a suitable lifting device in order to install air conditioner assembly (16). The weight of air conditioner assembly (16) is approximately 34 kg (75 lb).
Connect hose (15) onto air conditioner assembly (16).

Install bolts (14), nut (13), and bolts (12).

Connect hose (11).

Connect duct (9). Tighten clamp (10) and clamp (8).

Connect harness assembly (7).

Close the heater control valve. Turn rotary switch (18) all the way in the clockwise direction.
Remove all slack from cable assembly (4).
Use screw (3) and the clip in order to install cable assembly (4). Tighten screw (3) to a torque of 1.7 .25 N m (15.05 2.21 lb in).
Connect hose (6) to the heater control valve. Tighten the screw on the hose clamp to a torque of 4.5 0.5 N m (39.8 4.4 lb in). Connect hose (5) to the heater control valve. Tighten the screw on the hose clamp to a torque of 4.5 0.5 N m (39.8 4.4 lb in).

At the operating temperature, the engine jacket water system is hot and under pressure. Hot engine coolant and steam can cause burns.Remove the breather cap when the engine is stopped and the breather cap is cool enough to touch. Slowly loosen the breather cap in order to release any pressure in the tank. Be cautious of hot engine coolant when any hose assemblies are disconnected in the engine coolant system.
Turn valve assemblies (2) to the ON position.

Connect hose assemblies (1).
Charge the air conditioner system. Refer to Service Manual, SENR5664, "Air Conditioning and Heating Systems with R-134a Refrigerant". Refer to Special Publication, NEDG2500, "Air Conditioning Tools". End By:
Install the cab front plate. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Plate (Cab Front) - Remove and Install".
