This view is of a cutaway which shows the orientation of the lip seal.
Use Tooling (CC) and a suitable press in order to install a new seal in bearing cover (27) .
Position bearing cover (27) and install bolts (26) .

Position grease collector (20) and install the two bolts.

Position box (17) and install bolts (16) .Note: Note the identification marks from the disassembly procedure.
Connect cable assemblies (18) and (19) .

Position cover (14) and install bolts (15) .

Position rotor sensor (13) and position plate (12) .
Install bolt (11) .

Install the O-ring seals on speed sensors (7) .
Install speed sensors (7) and install bolts (8) .
Position cover (10) and install bolts (9) .

Position terminal bracket (5) and install bolts (6) .
Position the cable assemblies and position plates (3) .
Apply Tooling (DD) to the threads on bolts (4) . Install bolts (4) . Tighten bolts (4) to a torque of 7 1 N m (62 9 lb in).

Purge all old grease from the grease lines. Connect grease lines (2) on both sides of the traction motor.End By: Install the traction motor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Traction Motor - Install".Shipping Bracket Installation

Remove bolts (1) and remove cover (2) .

Install shipping bracket (HH) onto the traction motor. Carefully turn the rotor until you are able to install bolts (JJ) by hand. Remove the bolts.
Position shield (GG) into position and install the bolts (JJ) .

Position cover (2) onto the shield and install the bolts.
