Open both the right side and the left side engine doors.

Disconnect harness assemblies (2) from soot sensors (1) .
Remove soot sensors (1) .
Remove loop clips (3) .
Disconnect the harness assembly from monitor (4) and remove monitor (4) .Installation Procedure
Install soot sensors (1) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads on soot sensors (1). Torque soot sensors (1) to a torque of 45 5 N m (33 4 lb ft).

Keep a minimum diameter bend of 102 mm (4.0 inch) for harness assemblies (2). Refer to Illustration 4.
Hand tighten harness assemblies (2) .
