A - - Dimension of groove in a new camshaft for the thrust washer assembly is 8.75 0.05 mm (0.344 0.002 inch).
1 - - Before assembly, apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound to the threads.
Tighten the bolts to 55 7 N m (41 5 lb ft).
B - - Thickness of a new thrust washer is 8.50 0.05 mm (0.335 0.002 inch).
C - - Diameter of bearing journal is 85.88 0.02 mm (3.381 0.001 inch).
Bore in camshaft bearing after installation is 86.00 0.06 mm (3.386 0.002 inch).
- - - End play for a new camshaft assembly is 0.15 to 0.35 mm (0.006 to 0.014 inch).

- - - Use the following procedure to determine the actual camshaft lobe lift:
1. Measure camshaft lobe height (E).
2. Measure base circle (F).
3. Subtract the base circle (F) from the camshaft lobe height (E). The difference is the actual camshaft lobe lift.
D - - Specified camshaft lobe lift for
1. Exhaust lobe is 9.078 mm (0.3574 inch).
2. Inlet lobe is 9.314 mm (0.3667 inch).
3. Injector lobe:
Engine rated at 900 rpm to 1300 rpm is 13.574 mm (0.5344 inch).
Engine rated at 1301 rpm to 1800 rpm is 13.731 mm (0.5406 inch).
