Caterpillar Electronic Technician (Cat ET)
Caterpillar Electronic Technician (Cat ET) is a software program that is used in order to access data. The service technician can use Cat ET in order to perform maintenance on the machine. Some of the options that are available with Cat ET are listed below:

Program the ECM (Flash). Programming is done with the WinFlash program. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Electronic Control Module (ECM) - Flash Program".Refer to Troubleshooting, "Using Caterpillar Electronic Technician to Determine Diagnostic Codes". Event Identifier (EID)
Text description of the problem
Number of occurrences of the problem
Time stamp that shows the time that the problem first occurred
