Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Install dowel (2) in bracket assembly (1).
Use Tooling (B) and install bearing cups (12) into hub (6). Note: Hand pack the bearing cup and the cone with a liberal amount of lubricant prior to assembly.
Install spacer (4) on bracket assembly (1).
Install bearing cone (5).
Use Tooling (A) to install seal (3) into hub (6). Install hub (6) on bracket assembly (1). Note: Lubricate the drive group with 40 grams of bearing lubricant. Lightly lubricate the sealing lip with bearing lubricant. Add 10 grams in the cavity between bearings and put 30 grams in the fan adapter cavity.
Install spacer (7) and bearing cone (8).
Apply Tooling (C) to bolt (10). Install plate (9), washer (11), and bolt (10). Tighten bolt (10) to a torque of 115 N m (85 lb ft). End By:
Install the fan drive. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan Drive - Install".
