Use the following procedure in order to assemble the water separator and fuel filter:
Remove the cap from the bottom of the fuel filter.
Remove the O-ring (13) from the cap. Discard the cap.
Lubricate the O-ring with clean oil. Install the O-ring into the groove of bowl (5) .
Thread the bowl onto the bottom of fuel filter (4) and tighten the bowl by hand.
