Disconnect hose assemblies (17). Disconnect hose assemblies (18A). Remove bolt (18) and the clip from each side of the bracket.

Cut and remove cable straps (19). Remove bolts (20). Disconnect tube assemblies (21) .

Remove plug (23) from the left side of the flywheel housing.

Remove eight bolts (24). Rotate the engine in order to access remaining bolts (24) .

Attach Tooling (A) to the front of the transmission and attach Tooling (B) to the rear of the transmission. Attach a suitable lifting device onto Tooling (A) and Tooling (B). The weight of the transmission is approximately 499 kg (1100 lb).

Disconnect drive shaft (25) from the transmission.

Remove mounting bolts (26) .

Remove bottom bolts (27) on both sides of the transmission.

Note: Check the clearance of the muffler and the ejector pipe.
Raise the transmission approximately 51 mm (2 inch) off the mounts. Install a wood block under the flywheel housing. Allow the engine to rest on the wood block.

Remove pin (28) for the parking brake from arm (29). Remove mounts (30) from both sides of the transmission.

Remove bolts (31) from the bottom of the transmission. Disconnect hose assembly (32) .

Remove bolts (31) from the top of the transmission.

Remove the transmission from the flywheel housing. The weight of the transmission is approximately 499 kg (1100 lb). The transmission must be angled in order to remove the transmission. Refer to Illustration 21.
