This article only applies to 3516 Diesel Engines.Analysis has determined that switching the stroke for adjusting the cylinder numbers 5 and 11 injectors provides optimum contact between the lifter rollers and the base circles on the camshaft.For the new sequence, the cylinder number 5 injector is adjusted on the compression stroke and the cylinder number 11 injector is adjusted on the exhaust stroke.Note: There is no need to adjust the injectors in engines that are now in service.
