Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. 1. Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting sling to support planetary carrier (1). Position planetary carrier (1) in an upright position, as shown. 2. Install pin (3) in planetary shaft (2). 3. Apply clean oil to roller bearings (4) and (6). Install roller bearing (4), spacer (7) and roller bearing (6) in gear (8). 4. Install thrust washer (5), gear (8) and thrust washer (9) in planetary carrier (1).5. Install planetary shaft (2) in planetary carrier (1). Align pin (3) with the slot in the planetary carrier.6. Repeat Steps 2 through 5 for the installation of the other two planetary gears. End By:a. Install the final drive planetary carrier.
