This procedure may terminate if any unknown functions or any unexpected functions are activated. This procedure may terminate if a fault (CID FMI) is present. Do not move any switch positions, any levers or any pedals unless you are instructed differently.
Make sure that the transmission direction and speed control lever (if equipped) is in the NEUTRAL position. Make sure that the transmission direction control switch (if equipped) is in the NEUTRAL position.
Make sure that the parking brake is engaged.
Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil.Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system.Make sure all of the attachments have been lowered, oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.
Do not connect or disconnect hose fittings to or from the quick disconnect nipples when there is pressure in the system. This will prevent damage to the seals that are in the fitting.

Service Brake Control Valve
Install the correct hose assembly from 198-4240 Digital Pressure Indicator on upper pressure tap (5) of the service brake control valve.
Start the engine and operate the engine at low idle.
Warm the hydraulic oil to at least 40°C (104°F).

Use the 4C-8195 Control Service Tool to enter Transmission Calibration Mode (8). Then enter the submode 29. Enter the submode by using the "SCROLL" switch.
The Caterpillar Monitoring System will display "29 C00". Press the "CLEAR" switch on the 4C-8195 Control Service Tool. The Caterpillar Monitoring System should now display "29 C01".
If the Caterpillar Monitoring System now displays "29 C01", begin to GENTLY depress the left brake pedal. Monitor the pressure gauge.
