Information:
1. After disassembly, carefully inspect all of the parts. There will be a gear track on the inside of the pump body. Measure this groove and if it is deeper than .015 in. (0.38 mm) the pump should be replaced. If the groove is less than .015 in. (0.38 mm) deep, the body may be reused providing it is not cracked or damaged otherwise.2. Examine the pressure plates. They should not show excessive wear on the bronze side. Replace the pressure plates if deep curved marks are visible.3. Inspect the gears. If excessive wear is apparent on the journals, sides or faces of the gears, or at the point where they rotate in the seals, they should be replaced.4. If any of the internal parts show excessive wear, replace all the parts with a repair kit.
