Conditions Which Generate This Code:
The output to the turbocharger compressor bypass valve solenoids from the master Electronic Control Module (ECM) is ON.
The master ECM detects reduced current in the circuit for the turbocharger compressor bypass valve solenoids.Note: This code can only be detected by the master ECM when the output for the turbocharger compressor bypass valve solenoids is ON. This output is normally ON during either of these conditions:
Turbocharger surge
Engine shutdownNote: Engine shutdown occurs when the output for the fuel control relay is OFF and the engine RPM is above 100. The master ECM will continue to activate the output for the turbocharger compressor bypass valve solenoids until the engine RPM drops to zero.System Response:The shutdown indicator is activated.
