Engine News SEBD9403, 19 June 2006, "An Improved Turbocharger and Software are Available {1052, 7620}". Disregard the previous article. The following article has been updated with new part numbers.The improved turbocharger and the improved software are now available for the above 3196 Marine Engine that develops 660 hp at 2300 rpm. The turbocharger and the software will help to reduce smoke during acceleration. The turbocharger will require new air lines and new oil lines for the proper fit. The new parts are listed in Table 1.The new software will require a factory password. Submit a "Factory Password Request Form". The "Factory Password Request Form" must identify the new parts that have changed and the new labels that are ordered for the emissions.
