Oil displaced from the head end of the cylinder flows back to the tank.Orifice plug (38) and flow control valve (31) limit the volume of oil to the tilt cylinder.When tilt valve (27) is in the TILT LEFT position, pressure oil opens check valve (39) and is directed to head end of tilt cylinder (34), extending the piston rod and causing the blade to tilt to the left. Oil displaced from rod end of the cylinder returns to the oil supply tank.

The pressure relief valve serves a dual purpose. It acts as a flow control valve whenever the tip cylinders are being operated and as a safety valve to prevent excessive pressures from being imposed on the hydraulic system.Oil enters the pressure relief valve housing through sensing line (1), flows through orifice (3) into chamber (8) and contacts pilot valve (7).Normally, spring (9) holds dump valve (10) closed and spring (6) holds pilot valve (7) seated.When tip valve spool (15) is moved from HOLD position, oil is forced around orifice plug (14), unseats check valve (18), and is directed to tip cylinder line (16) or (17). The restriction to flow imposed by orifice plug (14) causes oil pressure in chamber (12) to increase. This pressure increase moves dump valve (10) against the force of spring (9) and allows a portion of oil in chamber (12) to dump into the tank through outlet port (2). Sensing line (1) equalizes the pressure in chamber (8) with the pressure in the line to the tip cylinder, maintaining a constant pressure differential across orifice plug (14). This pressure differential is always equal to the oil pressure required to move dump valve (10) against spring (9) and permits a constant volume of oil to pass around orifice plug (14) throughout the entire range of available pump pressure.When system pressure rises
