When parked on a steep slope, fluid monitoring may return false low readings.Park the machine on a level surface. If you must park on a grade, chock the wheels of the machine.Apply the transmission modulator control (inching pedal) to stop the machine and the service brake to stop the machine. Move the transmission control switch to the NEUTRAL position. Move the throttle control to the LOW IDLE position.Engage the parking brake.Lower all equipment to the ground. Activate any control locks.Allow the engine to run for 2 minutes before shutting down.Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position and remove the engine start switch key.Do not turn the battery disconnect switch OFF until the "Wait to Disconnect Lamp" has turned off. If the battery disconnect switch is turned off before the lamp has shut off, the DEF system will not purge. DEF could freeze and damage the pump and lines.If the machine will not be operated for a month or more, remove the battery disconnect switch key.
